V12 Chi's Sweet Home

After so much time at her current residence the time has come for Chi to move to a new home. This new location will bring with it new faces, new smells, and plenty of new adventures. But before embarking on this move, this kitten will have to make an important decision. Choosing between home and family, something the Yamada clan had to do a while back, is going to be her greatest challenge yet.

V11 Chi's Sweet Home

Nothing is more heartbreaking to a mother than losing a child. There is nothing that can replace family, and when one is lost at such a tender age it is even more distressing as uncertainty over the child’s survival weighs heavily. So if fate offers an opportunity to be reunited with that lost child, it is a mother’s duty to seize the moment and hope for a happy family reunion.

V10 Chi's Sweet Home

It has been a long time coming, particularly in the life of a kitten, but Chi is now painfully close to finally being reunited with her feline family. But there are things that still stand in her way. The most complicated of which is whether the Yamada's be able to part with their youngest family member?

V9 Chi's Sweet Home

As Chi Yamada has shown, kittens are a resourceful and strong lot. Through play and exploration they learn to hunt for their food and to define their territory, much like the big cats of the savannah and jungle. Chi's turf now stretches out for blocks. But after a brief sick spell, she is confined to her condo home while her instincts and heart command her to go out to spend time with her stray friends. So after a sneaky escape from home, Chi makes her way back to the company of her friends, Cocchi and Blackie, but this time she departs with a better understanding of what it means to be a "cat". What exactly does freedom or being a stray mean, though, is something she will have to learn first hand. And there may be a bit of a kitty culture shock in store.

V8 Chi's Sweet Home

In the eighth volume of Chi's Sweet Home, Chi is growing up and now that she has a sense of her new surroundings, the little shorthair is ready to make this new neighborhood her own. With the help of her furry feline friend Cocchi she embarks on some of her more ambitious trips yet. Being a curious and increasingly selfreliant kitty, priority number one has always been locating food sources. Sometimes achieving this is not very easy or safe for kittens, but lessons have to be learned. What Chi will have to soon find out is that doors are made to be closed. Strolling into random homes, sheds or cars is a big nono because you may never make it out again. In one such case, Chi gets in; finds what's she was not looking for; is locked in; and eventually has to face off with a grumpy old human!

V7 Chi's Sweet Home

In the seventh volume of Chi's Sweet Home, Chi finds herself in her biggest predicament yet. While exploring her new neighborhood with a new young feline peer, she becomes lost as a downpour has masked the scents she was so heavily relying upon for direction. Confused and hungry the two decide to hunt around the community for scraps as substanance. After searching for leftovers and meals left for other unaware pets turned fruitless, Chi and her new friend Cocchi resort to more extreme measures to keep their energy flowing.

V6 Chi's Sweet Home

In the latest volume of Chi's Sweet Home, the titular kitten takes to the streets with unbridled curiosity. Exploring her new surroundings she encounters countless new friends, including another young feline named Cocchi. This new kitty comrade opens up a whole new world for our star. Prior to this encounter she had a mild awareness of what it was like to be a cat. To Chi, she was Chi and the Yamada's were her clan. But now with another one of her kind clearly there, she is more willing than ever to accept that a cat's world is one that she should be and will eventually be a part of. So while on a rare night excursion, our furry heroine reunites with an old friend and is introduced to a world where a whole community of cats of all shapes and sizes congregate in the twilight. This reunion with her mentor Blackie allows Chi to slowly move closer and closer to that long awaited reunion with her own cat family. Even if she is no longer searching for her own original home it is suddenly closer than it's ever been.

V5 Chi's Sweet Home

Chi is completely settled into her new home and it is now time for some real adventures! With so many new furry and feathery comrades around she is bound to have at least a few opportunities to explore this new world of hers...Or so she thought. Instead Chi might end up becoming more of a house cat than ever before. Despite living in a pet friendly building, Chi still has not had too many chances to go outdoors. Instead her fellow feline neighbors come visit her in her turf. Furthermore these posh and pomp kittens are not really the like that would appreciate a wild romp in the park or dumpster diving in a dark alley. Nope these cats would much rather lounge and be pampered by doting humans.

V4 Chi's Sweet Home

In the fourth volume of Chi's Sweet Home, Youhei's actions at the end of volume three has motivated his parents to look for a new home for their kids. Chi is moving to a new address; someplace where cats can play to their heart's content without having to worry about nosey managers and mean hungry bully cats. But moving alone will be something of an adventure for Chi. While the Yamada's can handle changing their environment now and then, for a kitten their home means much more than just a place to sleep in. When the old apartment starts to disappear, suddenly Chi starts losing all of her favorite toys and her naps spots. She knows they should be in specific places, the smell is still there, but her nappy spot is gone and so are her favorite scratching areas. And what are all those boxy things? Why are they all stacked so high up? And what's up with all the noise around them? Are there dogs behind all of this?!?

V3 Chi's Sweet Home

Chi is a michievous newborn kitten who on a leisurely stroll with her family finds herself lost and alone. Seperated from the warmth and protection of her mother, desperately attempts to reunite with her family of feral cats. When the kitten feels all hope is lost, she is found in a park by a young boy named Yohei and his mother. After taking a tumble Yohei feels just as distraught as the kitten he sees before him, and he quickly takes comfort in feeling a sense of sympathy with the cat. And before she could even know what hit her, the little kitty was picked up and soon under the protection and care of Yohei's familythe Yamada's. Every moment of their daily life is filled with something we can all cherish. In the third volume of Chi's Sweet Home, Chi has made a new friend. There is another cat in the neighborhood. This cat is the very cat that the building manager considers to be a nuisance and the same one with a reward on his head. The cat's name is Kuro; a giant of a feline. All black and with a bit of an appetite, this cat has been known to not only sneak into people's yards but he has even been bold enough to enter some apartments searching for food. Chi's first encounter with Kuro back in volume two was not a positive one. When the big cat one day walked up to the Yamada's back door, Chi was startled by its size. Kuro is so big, Chi could not even tell it is also a cat! Chi thought it was some new beast altogether. So when Youhei sees the new cat he immediately panics as he tries to protect his little buddy. Now the two cats are working together to take on the big world outside of the Yamada's apartment!

V2 Chi's Sweet Home

In the second volume of Chi's Sweet Home, Chi's new world slowly begins to grow. As Yohei Yamada grows up it is rapidly becoming apparent to his parents that Chi grows up twice as fast! Now moving into the feline version of the terrible twos, Chi's increasingly curious and independent behavoir begins to wear on each member of the Yamada household. Mom's flowers are being shred. Dad's sick and little Chi needs to play with him after lunch every day. And when Yohei doesn't share his toys, Chi begins to use her fangs and claws on her best friend! Lesson learnedcats are cute, but they can be equally scary!
